Garching near Munich, 18th September 2009 - Riverland Solutions GmbH has extended its collaboration with the Faculty of Information and Communication at the Hochschule der Medien (HdM) in Stuttgart (Stuttgart Media University). The company will once again be working with the HdM during the 2009/10 winter term, offering a series of seminars. Focussed on real-world practice, this term's seminars will again give older students on the BA courses in business IT and e-services the opportunity to gain more in-depth knowledge about customer relationship management (CRM) based on Oracle solutions. The series of seminars handles the subject of Oracle OLAP and is being run by Christian Casek, one of Riverland's senior consultants. As an experienced consultancy firm for CRM systems based on Oracle applications, Riverland has already staged a previous series of seminars at the HdM. This was during the 2009 summer term and was entitled 'An introduction into the world of Siebel configuration'. These seminars gave the students advanced insights into customer relationship management and introduced them to the use of the Siebel CRM system. In running a new series during the 2009/10 winter term, Riverland will be continuing its strong commitment in the area of higher education and providing the HdM with an important module in the university's range of electives. In addition to future seminars at the HdM, Riverland also offers students the opportunity to do thesis work with the company. "Riverland's seminars play an important part in our students' studies of real-world practice," states Professor Wolf-Fritz Riekert, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Information and Communication at the HdM. "The first series was very positively received by our students. We therefore look forward to carrying on our collaboration with Riverland and are delighted that Riverland staff will continue to be involved in our educational work." "Our collaboration with the HdM gives us a basis for working on business applications with a focussed group of innovative, creative and committed students in order to improve the future of systematic database technology," explains Ann M. Dempsey, Managing Director of Riverland Solutions GmbH. "Our aim is to continually develop cycles of learning by forming symbiotic networks of expertise, made up of partners, employees and clients."
